TEDBURN ST MARY SPORTS & RECREATION ASSOCIATION

 

STANDARD CONDITIONS OF HIRE

 

 

1.    The Hirer will during the period of hiring, be responsible for supervision of the premises, the fabric and the contents, their care, safety from damage, however slight, or change of any sort, and the behaviour of all persons using the premises, whatever their capacity, including proper supervision of car-parking arrangements so as to avoid obstruction of the highway.

 

2.    The Hirer shall not sub-let, or use the premises for any unlawful purpose or in any unlawful way, nor do anything to bring onto the premises anything that may endanger the same or any insurance policies in respect thereof.

 

3.    The Hirer shall be responsible for obtaining any license that may be needed for the consumption of intoxicating liquor, and for the observance of the same and all other regulations appertaining to the premises stipulated by the Fire Authority, the Local Authority, the Local Magistrate Court, or otherwise.

 

4.    The Hirer shall indemnify the Committee for the cost of repair or any damage done to any part of the property, including curtilage thereof, or the contents of the building, during or as a result of the hiring. There will be a charge if the clubhouse is not left in a clean condition.

 

5.    At the end of the hiring, the Hirer shall be responsible for leaving the premises and surrounds in a clean and tidy condition, and any contents temporarily removed from their usual positions properly replaced, otherwise the Committee shall be at liberty to make additional charge.  Also, the Hirer to ensure that all lights are turned off, windows and doors secure and locked, and ashtrays and crockery are left clean after use.

 

6.    Hirers of the Buildings on both a one-off and regular basis, should be aware that the Committee do not insure any Items of Contents which belong to Hirers, and therefore all contents of Hirers, or visitors of Hirers, are used or left in the Buildings at the Hirers Risk

 

7.    The Sports & Recreation Management Committee can take no personal responsibility for accidents or incidents occurring on the premises, and Hirers should ensure they comply with the terms of these Conditions of Hire and the Committee's Insurance Policy at all times.

 

8.    The Sports & Recreation Management Committee reserve the right to amend or vary these Conditions of Hire at any time without prior Notice although will use all reasonable endeavours to notify Hirer of any changes.

 

9.    The Booking Clerk must be notified in writing, of regular bookings.  This must be done well in advance of the Hirer's requirements; otherwise sessions not booked could be taken up by other hirers.  Requests for cancellation of a booking must be made at least seven days beforehand, except in extreme emergency, otherwise the Hires will be charged.  The Committee reserve the right to take, vary or cancel bookings at their sole discretion.

 

10. Invoices must be paid within 28 days of receipt; otherwise a surcharge of 20% will be made.
