CLUB
Welcome to
Tedburn & Cheriton Youth Club!
Some of the things we have done with
the Youth Club recently include Pool, Table Tennis, Karaoke Competitions, Bingo,
Quiz and DVD nights, s
wimming, ice-skating, 10-Pin Bowling,
Fingle
Glen
Driving
Range
and dry slope
ski-ing.
In July 2008, we organised
and led a very successful (but wet!) camping trip to Woodlands, and in
August a great weekend was held on Dartmoor.
This coming year some fantastic
activities are planned including a trip to Tedburn Panto, Sumo Wrestling,
Sponsor Fun Run and a further Camping Trip in the Summer.
A committee supports the youth
leader. Alexis Saffin is our current chairperson.
We are always looking for new faces to join our committee and
help!
We meet on a Friday Evening in
Cheriton Village Hall from 7pm to 9pm. Our annual membership price is £5
per member. This cost is to cover insurance and premises costs. The weekly
costs will be £2 for the first member and £1.50 for subsequent family
members. We welcome anybody in Year 6 and above.
We kicked off 2009 in our new
premises, Cheriton Village Hall with a Disco. It was great to see a number
of new faces from Cheriton join us.
The committee organised a very
successful Christmas Disco in Tedburn for the Adults, which was to raise
funds for the club. This paid for the children to have their Disco and
also to buy some new equipment. Due to the success of this, we have
decided to repeat this on an annual basis. Put Friday
18th December 2009 in your diaries
now!
